Tackett scores 9 as Ohio all-stars beat W. Virginia

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Ohio girls hit their shots and in turn hit the century mark.

The Ohio All-Stars hit 31 field goal attempts including seven 3-pointers as they beat the West Virginia All-Stars 100-81 Friday in the annual Ohio-West Virginia All-Star Game.

Waterford’s Sina King scored 34 points and was named the Ohio team’s Most Valuable Player.

Brea Tackett of the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers scored nine points for Ohio including a 3-pointer field goal and 4-of-6 from the foul line.

Alannah Sheets of Ripley scored 28 points and was the West Virginia MVP.

In the boys’ game, West Virginia won 133-114.
