FRANKLIN FURANCE — Give the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings an inch and they’ll take a foot.

Give them a couple of baserunners and they’ll take a bunch of runs.

The Lady Vikings capitalized on Green’s errors and walks as they posted a 10-0 Southern Ohio Conference win in five inning on Wednesday.

“They walked some batters and made some errors and we took advantage of them to score 10 run,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Jeff “Odie” Estep whose team needed just six hits to win.

Nikki Nance got the win as she struck out four, did not walked a batter and allowed only three hits.

The Lady Vikings got a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

Eric Corn walked, Nance singled, they advanced on a wild pitch, Brooke Skinner hit into a fielder’s choice for a run and Chelsea Wall doubled home Nance.

The lead went to 6-0 in the second inning.

Ada Humphrey and Corn walked, Nance was safe on an error for a run, Jessie Morris singled for a run, and Skinner was safe on an error as two more runs scored.

Nance singled to start a two-run fourth inning. Morris walked and Wall grounded out as a run scored. Two wild pitches scored Morris.

In a two-run fifth inning, Brianna Foster walked, stole second and scored when Corn got a base hit. Corn moved up on a wild pitch and came home on a ground out by Nance.
