RONALD CLAYTON

ORIENT — Ronald D. (Hankins) Clayton, 58, of Orient passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010.
He was born April 22, 1951, in Michigan, the son of the late Adolphus “Pick” and Wilma Moore Hankins.
He was owner of R&K Clayton Enterprises trucking company and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ronald was also a member of Jeffersonville Baptist Church in Coal Grove. Those close to Ronald knew him to be honorable, dependable, hardworking, honest and selfless man. He always thought of others before himself and wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off his back. To the very end he worked to provide for his family and keep his commitments to them and those around him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two nephews, Ken and Dwane Carter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Clark Clayton of Orient, whom he married on July 15, 1970; a daughter and son-in-law, Mattie and Jim Gantt of Chillicothe; a son, Ronald A. Clayton of Grove City; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Jeff Carter of Chillicothe and Terri and Lloyd Wallace of Franklin Furnace. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Zoar Cemetery. A visitation will be noon – 2 p.m. prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
