Pamela Sue Blankenship Littlejohn, 59, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 14, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., after battling a lengthy illness. The Ironton native was born July 20,1950, the daughter of Betty Riddlebarger Blankenship of Ironton and the late Curtis Blankenship. She is also survived by her husband, Clyde Littlejohn, Jr. of Ironton, whom she married April 22, 1970.
Mrs. Littlejohn attended Rock Hill School and Kelly’s Bridge Independent Baptist Church. She lived her entire life in Lawrence County.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Noe. In addition to her mother and husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Beth Hammond of Georgetown, Ky., and Pam Littlejohn of Ironton; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Donna Blankenship of Ironton, Jeff Blankenship of Ironton, James and Jo Blankenship of Canon City, Colo. and Joseph “Sonny” Blankenship of Ashville; three sisters, Laura Blankenship and Rose Dillon, both of Ironton, and Carolyn Bailey of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Alicia Littlejohn of Georgetown, Ky., Alex Littlejohn of Ironton and Kaitlin Hammond of Georgetown, Ky., and many nieces and nephews. She was called mom by many.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Don Delawder and Shane Hanshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
