WHEELERSBURG — Kim Terese Clevenger, 53, of Wheelersburg, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 19, 2010, after a brave, 23-year battle with a brain tumor.
Kim was born Dec. 12, 1956, to Janet Rawlins Jasinski, and the late Delbert E. Runyon.
She is survived by her mother, Janet, of Wheelersburg, her father’s wife, Margie Runyon, of Friendswood, Texas, her husband, Jack W. Clevenger, Jr. and her two daughters, Jennifer and Ashley Clevenger. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ashton Clevenger, Morgan Clevenger, Zachary Garrett, and Trinity Jade Lisath. She was preceded in death by her father in 2008.
Kim leaves behind numerous family members, including six sisters, Gina (Dave) Smith of Wheelersburg; Kelli (Mark) Ramsey of Roanoke, Va.; Bobbilou (Jaime) Nottingham of Roanoke, Va., Dana (Tim) Whitley of Wheelersburg, Debra (Gerald) Purvis of Seabrook, Texas, and Kristi (Brian) Murray of Friendswood, Texas and three brothers, Joseph Neal of Wheelersburg, Thomas (Tracy) Cassity of Friendswood, Texas, and Jeffrey Cassity of Seabrook, Texas. Kim is also survived by her Coal Grove family, Aunt Linda (Bud) Sanders, and cousins, Nick (Leslie) Miller; Danny (Jonda) Miller, Shaun Miller and Melinda Sanders. Kim is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Kim also leaves behind several special friends, Jane Bussler, Jamie Triggs, Brenda Goodan, Brenda Finley, Brenda Pennington and Sue Imel.
Kim was a 1974 graduate of Wheelersburg High School. She worked as a nurse who dedicated her life to caring for the elderly in long term care facilities. She was a strong, brave woman who inspired those who knew her and she loved the Lord.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeside Church in New Boston with Pastor Gerald Penix officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends and family may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church.
