PEDRO — So go the bats, so go the Rock Hill Redmen.
Rock Hill collected nine hits in five innings as they blanked the Green Bobcats 10-0 Tuesday.
Josh Malone went 3-3 and Jonathan Schob 2-2 to lead the Redmen who improved to 9-5 on the season.
“The kids battled and hit the ball hard. Hopefully, we can keep the bats rolling,” said Redmen coach Barry Litteral.
Rock Hill jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead and never looked back.
Malone singled, Drew Kidd laid down a sacrifice bunt, Schob singled to put runners on the corners, and Jeremy Blagg hit into a fielder’s choice as a run scored.
Schob was safe when no one covered second base, Devin Darby walked and Shane Russell cleared the bases with a triple.
Matt Jenkins was safe on an error as a run score, Alex Bare walked and a throwing error allowed a run to score.
The lead went to 9-0 in the second inning.
Schob doubled and Cody Massie had an RBI single. Blagg singled, Russell walked and Jenkins had a 2-run single.
Rock Hill ended the game with a run in the fifth when Russell was hit by a pitch, stole second base, took third on a throwing error and came home when Malone singled.
Rock Hill plays at Chesapeake Wednesday.
