PEDRO — It took all phases of the game to win, and Morgan Damron helped phase out the opposing hitters.
Damron tossed a 4-hitter as the Rock Hill Redwomen beat the Greenup County (Ky.) Lady Musketeers 4-2 Tuesday.
Damron struck out four and walked only two. Lisa Short pitched a 5-hitter with five strikeouts and not walks for Greenup.
“Morgan pitched a heck of a game. We played good defense and we hit the ball, we just hit it right at people,” said Rock Hill coach Mary Harper.
Greenup (12-5) got two runs in the top of the first inning.
Ashley Bates walked and came around to score on a pair of passed ball. Ashley Barlow then tripled and scored when Erica Pope grounded out.

The Redwomen got the deciding runs in the second inning.
