Carole Sue Dalton Griffith, 76, of Ironton, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Lawrence County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Jane Abrams Dalton.
Carole was a faithful member of LaGrange Freewill Baptist Church, a graduate of Ironton High School, and central committee person for the Republican Party. She also retired from C and P Telephone after thirty and a half years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Carole is survived by her loving husband, Bob Griffith of Ironton, whom she married Feb 16, 2002; nine nephews, Jim Wipert of Ironton, Jeff Crabtree of Ironton, Phillip Elias of Ironton, Gary Crabtree of Chillicothe, Ohio, Frank Dalton, Jr. of Ironton, Mike Dalton of Ironton, Freddie Dalton of Ironton, Charles Dalton of Ironton, and Bob Wilds of Ironton; four nieces, Janie Parsons of Delaware, Ohio, Jodie Houston of Ironton, Jolinda Heaberlin of Ironton, and Kathy Ferguson of Ironton; special great-niece, Becky Langdon of Ironton; and special friend, Betty Harper of Ironton.
Funeral service will be noon Monday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Brammer and Brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
