Teens in grades six through 12 are invited to bring friends and snacks for Gaming Night featuring the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360 at four Briggs Lawrence County Public Library locations this week. Gaming Nights will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the Ironton library, 4 p.m. Tuesday at the South Point library, 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Symmes Valley library and 6 p.m. Thursday at the Proctorville library.
Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to two workshops on Monday at the Main Library in Ironton. The 2 p.m. workshop, “Solving the Mystery of Old Photographs,” will teach hobbyists how to look for clues in analyzing their old unidentified family photos. The 6 p.m. workshop will focus on how to access Immigration and Naturalization records and how to apply them to genealogy research. Space is limited. If you need help getting started with your spring cleaning, you’re invited to attend the “Conquer Your Clutter” program at the Eastern Branch Library in Proctorville at 2 p.m. Monday. You’ll learn helpful techniques for every room that will have your home clutter free in no time.
Everyone interested in learning to crochet as well as those already experienced at the craft is invited to the Crochet Club at the Southern Branch Library in South Point at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Beginners should bring a “G” or “H” hook and yarn. Experienced crafters may bring a current project. For information call (740) 377-2288.
