Motorcyclists ride for Muscular Dystrophy Association on May 2

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The 10th Annual Big Ed’s Burrito Ride, a local motorcycle ride which benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), will roll from Charlie’s Harley-Davidson on Sunday..
The ride is sponsored by Charlie’s and raises money for MDA in honor of a longtime motorcycling enthusiast, Ed Childers. Childers, a former salesman at Charlie’s, passed away in 2002 and the ride was named for him the following year.
Each participant donates $25 to MDA and receives a special ride T-shirt. Riders also are treated to a late lunch of Mexican favorites at the end of ride.
Rick Jansen, general manager of Charlie’s Harley-Davidson, is encouraging participants to pre-register now at the dealership, 408 4th St., downtown Huntington.
Registration on the day of the event will begin at 11:30 a.m. Big Ed’s Burrito Ride will leave from Charlie’s at 1 p.m. For additional information, contact the dealership at (304) 523-1340.
