IRONTON — Two women remain in guarded condition today after an early morning stabbing Wednesday.
Ironton Police Capt. Chris Bowman said Joseph L. Lewis, 45, of 607 N. Fifth St., Ironton, was charged with two counts of felonious assault, one count of domestic violence and one count of tampering with evidence. He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and will be arraigned today in Ironton Municipal Court.
Bowman declined to named the two victims, who were taken to an area hospital. Bowman said both women had been stabbed “numerous times all over.” Bowman said he did not know at this time what caused the incident.
