HERBERT CLARK

GALLIPOLIS — Herbert Harding Clark, 89 of Gallipolis, formerly of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
He was born Oct. 24, 1920 in Boyd Co., Ky., son of the late Eugene and Tillie Kelly Clark.
Herb was a self-employed barber in the Coal Grove area for more than 20 years and a WW II U.S. Army veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Company B during the Normandy Invasion.
He is survived by two sons: Phillip Clark, of Denver, Colo., and Mark (Sylvia) Clark of Coal Grove; two daughters, Janenne Clark, of Coal Grove and Janette (Lloyd) Yates, of South Point; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his wife Eloise Matney Clark and several brothers and sisters.
In accordance with his wishes cremation services will be conducted by the McCoy-Moore Funeral, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis. Disposition services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
