Jazz vocalist to perform at OUS

IRONTON — Jazz vocalist Kim Keffer will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 24 at the Mains Rotunda of Ohio University Southern.

Keffer’s current show, “Music from the Great American Songbook,” includes songs by such great American composers as George and Ira Gershwin, Rogers and Hart, Thelonious Monk, and many others from the Great American Songbook with arrangements by Barry W. Gillium. Keffer delivers an honest, compelling version of each selection.

“I love these songs,” said Keffer. “These songwriters focused on the perfect blend of music and story. The result is some of the greatest love songs ever written.”
