Terri Carter, 46, of Ironton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at her residence. She was born Nov. 29, 1963, the daughter of Richard Carter Sr. and Carol Carter. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University. She was a member of the New Jerusalem Christian Center where she served as a deaconess. She was also in the choir, and worked in the children’s church and youth department among other positions. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Ruth Brice and paternal grandparents, William and Hazel Carter.
In addition to her parents Terri is survived by one brother, Richard “Dick” Carter Jr. of Ironton; one sister, Carrie Nelson of Fayetteville, N. C.; two nephews, Michael Anthony Edens and Jacob Tyler Carter both of Ironton; three godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the New Jerusalem Christian Center,with the Bishop Kenneth Lisath officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.
