JEFFERSONVILLE, N.C. — Arnold Jack “Sonny” Johnson, 72, of Jefferson, died Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 2, 1937, to the late Jack and Virginia Willis Johnson in Lawrence County, Ohio. He was an Ocala High graduate of 1955. He was retired from the U.S. Army in aircraft maintenance. During his career he served two tours of duty in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star medal. He was a member of the D.A.V.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Linda Morgan Johnson of Jefferson; a daughter, Lorri Blann of Waco, Texas; one grandson, Weston Blann, of Waco; two sisters, Jackie Lorito of Belleview, Fla., and Deborah James of Ocala, Fla.
A private memorial service will be conducted in Lawrence County, Ohio.
