CHESAPEAKE — Barbara Ann Sites, 74, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2010.
She was a very popular gospel music promoter in the Tri-State area for many years along with her husband Sonny Sites. She was a leading member of the Tri-State Gospel Music Association. She also had her own radio show on WEMM, giving exposure to local gospel music groups. She was a member of the Rockwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Lola Morrison; her husband, Sonny Sites, and two sisters, Lilas Jane Morrison and Edna “Joy” Roberts.
She is survived by two sons, Wesley Allen Sites I of Huntington, W.Va., and with his wife Robyn, who she named “Tweet-Tweet” and Michael “Tony” Sites of Chesapeake and Sharon Black; five grandchildren, Wesley Allen Sites II, and Jacqueline Nicole Sites of Huntington, W.Va., Sunny Sites Day and her husband Justin Day of Proctorville, Chase Sites and Beckett Sites of Chesapeake; a great-granddaughter, Kylie Day of Proctorville; her brothers and sisters, Gay and Donnie Keeney of Chesapeake, Jimmie Morrison III and Debbie of Huntington, W.Va., Rosemary and Doug Zornes of South Point, Tim and Mary Morrison of South Point, Lola and Bruce France of Huntington, W.Va., Lew and Phyllis Morrison of Orlando, Fla., a brother-in-law, Curtis Roberts; one aunt, Faye Riddle of Proctorville; special friends, Brandon Burks, Paul Rice, Nathan Campbell, Chris Sturgill, Isaac Maynard, Dale Chambers and Tera “Binefield” Terrell; five God grandchildren Maccoy and Meghan Brown, Whitney and Zackary Harvey and Faith Binefield.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Dr. Gary Patton. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation will be 5 – 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
