EDENTON, N. C. —Stephen Phillip Fraley, 70, of 117 Mohawk Trail, died Monday, June 7, 2010, in Chowan Hospital.
Mr. Fraley was born in Ashland, Ky., and was the son of the late Lon and Bea Anderson Fraley.
He was retired from Dominion Terminal in Newport News, Va. He was a member of the Chowan Golf & Country Club and had served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leigh Ann Cornelisse, and a brother, Roger Fraley.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Williams Fraley; two daughters, Tricia Messenger and husband Robbie of Ironton, Ohio and Vanessa Null and husband Chuck of North Ft. Myers, Fla.; a son, Stephen P. Fraley, Jr. of Ironton; a sister, Becky Dillow and husband Jeff of Ironton; three brothers, John Fraley, Lon Fraley and wife Betty and Max Fraley and wife Kathy, all of Ironton; stepchildren, Tony Brown and wife Sara of Georgetown, Ky.,and Lisa Grounds and husband Jim of Ironton; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, N.C. is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to any local hospice organization.
