As summer starts to heat up, Lawrence County residents need to remember that you don’t have to go far to have fun.
Anyone who thinks you have to leave the Tri-State to have a good time is overlooking all the great events right here at home.
Staying local keeps your vacation and entertainment dollars right here in our communities rather than stimulating someone else’s economy.
Coal Grove’s Family Fun Days offers a down-home celebration with music, attractions for children and a fireworks display. Plus, the entire project goes to raise money for the Coal Grove Betterment Club and its civic projects.
Set for July 1-3, this is a great way to kickoff your holiday celebration.
Running at the same time, Ashland’s Summer Motion continues to offer big-name musical entertainment and a wide variety of other activities.
Later in July, the Lawrence County Fair will showcase area youth, offer a variety of music and feature crowd favorites like the demolition derby and tractor pulls.
And the region always offers a host of attractions every year including Lake Vesuvius, Camden Park, Greenbo Park, Carter Caves, area pools and a host of other things to do and see.
You don’t have to go far away to have a good time. The Tri-State offers plenty right here at home.
