In Jim Crawford’s article “Does Obama the socialist threaten America?,” he says “Hardly.”

Well, how wrong can a professor or former professor be? What is “socialism” and just what does it do?

If you would look at socialism in foreign countries, you would see that the government tells you what you can and can’t do.

This is just where we are heading. Obama tells the car companies who can be their CEOs, the banks how much their CEOs can be paid and has already cut Medicare for senior citizens.

Just what more do you need to know about the amount of freedom that we as Americans have lost?

His idea of America is that what he says is truth and we are to swallow it, hook, line and sinker. This shows he thinks we are no more than fish.

Now, let’s look at what Obama said when he took office. The unemployment rate was 7.2 percent and his statement was that if we had the stimulus it wouldn’t go over 8 percent.

Well it has been more that 15 months and it is still hovering around 10 percent.

Why do you think that your taxes will stay the same when the “Bush tax decrease” expires, I have never made, while working for a living $62,000 a year and now that i’m retired I make much less and still pay taxes.

Where is his help for me? Oh, I am in the wealthy people (retired) class who pay taxes.

Crawford’s last two statements tell that he is on Obama “kool aid” because a Democrat cannot see a mistake in any Democrat.

A socialist, yes and taking America into socialism just as quick as he can until we are no longer the land of the free, but the home of the freeloader.

This is his idea of what America should be, a nanny state.
