IRONTON — Fire damaged an Ironton business Wednesday night.

The Ironton Fire Department responded to a fire at Taco Bell in the Ironton Hills shopping plaza around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Chief Tom Runyon said the fire was located inside a wall near the front part of the building.

The fire caused heavy damage to the building, Runyon said. Store personnel were unable to be reached to determine how long the restaurant will be closed.

The blaze is still under investigation pending an evaluation by the business’s insurance company but it is not considered suspicious. No one was injured
