Residents need to know where to turn for help

I want to know what Huntington, W.Va., has that Lawrence County, Ohio doesn’t.

I see houses being torn down daily over there. Right next to me is a nasty, trashy house but I can’t get anyone to do something about it.

I live in Proctorville. I have sent pictures to everyone from Congress, to the health department, to local government, but it seems all I get is, “Your not in our area.”

OK, I live in Ohio. I live in Lawrence County. I live in Proctorville. Now I am being told I live in Rome Township.

Come on. This is ridiculous.

All I know is that I bust butt and work every day. My husband and I are saving every penny to make our home nice only to look out and see the dump, roof falling in, rats and snakes. You can’t go out in the evening because of the bugs.

Is there anyone someone might be able to put me in contact with to help? Something has to be done and all I need is to be steered in the right direction.
