SOUTH POINT — Eileen (Montgomery) Tyler, of South Point, formerly of Brooklyn, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a long illness at age 79 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Emmerson Moore.
Eileen (Millie) never met a stranger, she enjoyed volunteering with St. Ann’s Catholic Church (bingo) and as a receptionist for AARP tax-aide.
She was the dearest daughter of the late Evelyn and John Montgomery; loving mother of Robert Tyler, the late Edward Tyler, Kathy (Emmerson) Moore, and Debra Forster; cherished grandmother of Jason Tyler, Douglas Forster, Joseph Tyler, and Lauren Tyler; loving great grandma of Maia Tyler and Mikaela Sibel; dear sister of Mary (Steve) Medvetz and the late Colette Beineke.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home, 14133 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 North Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 310 Third Ave., Chesapeake, OH 45619. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
