Ruby A. Robinson, 75, of Ironton, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her residence.
The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Roland Schug and Edith Kidd Schug Parker. She is survived by her husband, Hatler Robinson, whom she married Jan. 10, 1953.
Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Pedro High School, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8850 Ladies Auxiliary, and a past Grand Marshal of the Ironton Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade. She was a former OR Clerk at the Lawrence County Medical Center for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Parker; a son, Keith Robinson; a sister, Freda Wilson; and two brothers, Bill Schug and Theogater “Bus” Schug.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Teresa Robinson of Kitts Hill; a son and daughter-in-law, Hatler Jr. and Gina Robinson of Coal Grove; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Robinson of Coal Grove; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Glen Stevens of Sandusky and Loretta “Kitty” Boggs of Ironton; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with her nephew Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
