SOUTH POINT — Phyllis Jean Criss 75 of South Point, passed away July 3, 2010, at her residence. The Fairmont, W.Va., native was born Sept. 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Hosea and Virginia Ray Criss.
Mrs. Criss was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant Schools and was a credit collections manager for First Federal Savings and Loans for many years. Also Mrs. Criss was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was Past Worthy Matron and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by a brother, Everett Criss of South Point; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Donald Kemper of Flatwoods, Ky.; a nephew and his wife, Donald Kemper Jr. and Jo of Flatwoods, Ky.; two special friends, Joann Hicks of Scottown and Jamie Sharp of Ironton; and numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be 12:30 Tuesday at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, with Chaplin George Vasetine officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. OH. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
