SOUTH POINT — Dorothy Jean Slone, 79, of South Point, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Dorothy was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Garrett, Ky., a daughter of the late Cloar and Dessie Johnson Whitt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Denzil Whitt, and one sister, Teela Watson.
Surviving are her husband, Glenn Slone; one daughter, Glenna J. Roy of Plainfield, Ind.; and two grandsons.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Caniff Funeral Home, Westwood, Ky., by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
