Sheila Kay Holston, 62, of Ironton passed away Friday, July 9, 2010, at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. The Ironton native was born Dec. 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Arthur Allen Bailey and Goldie May Easterling Bailey.
Kay was a 1965 graduate of Rock Hill High School and graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in children services. She retired in 2002 from the Lawrence County Department of Human Services as a children’s case worker. She helped coordinate the Secret Santa Program for the Department of Human Services and she enjoyed genealogy. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Russell, Ky.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Arthur Allen Bailey Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Holston whom she married Nov. 3, 1967; daughter, Patricia Ann Fields of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Christy Holston of Greenup, Ky.; daughter, Shawna Neal of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bill Allen of Kitts Hill; son-in-law, Jeff Fields of Kitts Hill; sister, Carolyn Miller of Ironton; brother and sister-in-law, Artie and Pamela Bailey of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Susie Bailey of Pedro; brother, Charles Bailey of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, Leah Christian, Aaron Hankins, Kayla Hankins, David Harmon, Derek Holston, Danielle Holston, Darla Holston, Joseph Holston, Isabella Holston, J.C. Neal, Brienna Neal, Justin Allen and Andrew Allen; two stepgrandchildren, Samantha Fields Bollinger and Joshua Fields; one great grandchild, Keira Christian;
four step great grandchildren, Raegan Crabtree, Savannah Fields, Tyler Fields and Natalie Fields; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Kenwood Drive Russell, Ky., with Bishop Brian Hunt and Bishop Heath Scheibmeir officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, and an hour prior to the service at the church.
