IRONTON – Nancy Jane (Pyles) Colegrove, 80, passed on to be with God on July 10, 2010.
She was born September 15, 1929 in Ironton the daughter of the late James Allan and Mary Ruth (Zeek) Pyles. Nancy was a member of the United Brethren Church and a 1951 graduate of Ironton High School. She was a member of the Invincible Club, was active in P.T.A. and Girl Scouts of America.
She was preceded by three brothers, Richard Pyles, Vincent “Benny” Pyles, Allan Henry Pyles; five sisters, Mildred Ward, Mayme Shultz, Wilma Cardoza, Alice Geswein, and Anna Browning.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Colegrove, whom she married Feb. 3, 1951. She is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Ralph and Yvonne Colegrove, and James and Rhonda Colegrove, all of Ironton; one daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Jeffrey Pickering of Newport News,Va; grandchildren Edward and Amy Colegrove and their daughter Madison; James (Jay) Colegrove and fiancé Brittnay Norris and her daughter Haleigh, all of Ironton; Jennifer and Jacob Watts and her son Carl Joseph Pickering of Newport News, Va; and Andrew Corey Colegrove of Ironton; several nieces and nephews and a special friend to the family, Billie Broughton.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ashland Community Hospice 1538 Central Ave Ashland, KY 41101.
