The winner of the Senior Market Lamb Showmanship is a legacy all her own.
Kelsey Huddle, 17, has been showing lambs since she was 8 years old. The recent Rock Hill High School graduate has won first place in lamb showmanship for the past eight years in a row.
“It took years of practice,” said Kelsey.
Kelsey has always shown lambs. This year her lamb, “Sheldon,” brought her another win.
Kelsey is a member of the Barn Busters 4-H club.
“My mom did 4-H. It’s a family tradition,” said Kelsey. She also said all her siblings have participated in 4-H in the past.
Nine-year-old Ethan Cade of Waterloo won first place for the Junior Lamb Showmanship.
Still buzzing from winning reserve champion in the market lamb show, he said, “I got two trophies and three ribbons!”
