One woman was killed in a car accident on Ohio State Route 93 Sunday evening, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Kimberly Brubaker, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 7:34 p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol lists an Ironton address for Brubaker, but funeral arrangements indicate she was living in South Point.

The preliminary investigation by highway patrol revealed that Brubaker’s white 1995 Honda Civic was traveling south on State Route 93 when it drove left of center, striking a north bound gray 2007 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck driven by Tammy L. Mullens, 38, of 5201 Clinton Furnace Road in Pedro. Miranda D. Joseph, 30, also of 5201 Clinton Furnace Road was riding with Mullens at the time. Mullens and Joseph were transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital with serious injuries.

Brubaker was alone in her vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
