Search continues for missing man

Authorities continue their search for a Lawrence County man after his car was found abandoned a week ago.
The tan 1992 Honda 4-door belonging to Christopher L. Haas of County Road 73 was found at Johns Creek, July 16, by forestry employees.
Haas, 37, was last seen at the R&R Grocery on Greasy Ridge at 4:30 p.m. July 15. A friend, Harold White, reported Haas missing three days later.
According to the surveillance video from the grocery store, Haas was wearing a camouflage shorts, no shirt and flip flops.
“We have been interviewing family members and friends to get his last known location,” Deputy Charlie Hammonds said. “We are following up all the leads are they come in daily.”
The Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigations checked out Haas’ car, but found nothing out of the ordinary in the car, according to Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
