CHESAPEAKE — Warren Miller, 63, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, W. Va.
Warren was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Chillicothe, a son of the late Ernest and Julia Hughes Miller. He retired as a transformer specialist from American Electric Power, was a member of Bethel Ridge Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Post 640, a U.S. Army veteran, and the past president of many Chesapeake Youth Sports in which he was involved for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan M. Bryant Miller; 10 siblings, Alice Rose, Lee Miller, Berie Miller, Earnest Miller, Jr., Grace Johnson, Dora Fisher, Bob Miller, Jack Miller, Denver Miller and Ossie Miller. Warren is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Warren Todd and Kristen Miller of South Point, and Brent Joseph and Catherine Miller of Jackson; five grandchildren, Dakota, Aaron, Lilly, Eli and Noah Miller; and three siblings, David and Oscar Miller, and Nancy Thurman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM today at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
