Ironton Police

Vandalism — Area of The Marlow Friday, substance poured on cars while they were parked.

Theft – 800 block of S. Tenth Street Friday, laptop reportedly stolen. Officer

Trouble – 1300 block of Ninth Street Friday, man reportedly fighting with female juvenile. Citation issued.

Theft – 2500 block of S. Twelfth Street Friday, caller came back from vacation and reported items missing.

Vandalism — 1800 block of S. Fifth Friday, car reportedly covered in

ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard. Extra patrol requested.

Stolen car – 2200 block of S. Eighth Street Friday, woman’s car stolen. Victim advised to file report at police station.

Domestic – 1700 block of Waldo Drive Friday, woman reportedly hitting the side of house with baseball bat, left prior to officer’s arrival.

Suspicious vehicle – 700 block of S. Fifth Street Friday, males in a red truck with loud exhaust looking at houses for sale, suspects left area. Negative contact.

Breaking and entering – Area of municipal garage Thursday, three cars may have been tampered with.

Dog complaint – 200 block of McPherson, Several dogs barking at residence. No answer at door.

Trouble – Area of M&M Inflatables, man causing trouble. Suspect sent away.

Fight – 200 block of Park Avenue, group of people arguing. Request officers patrol.

Assault – unknown location, female reported a juvenile shook her baby. Child is being evaluated at hospital.

Unknown Trouble – 2300 block of S Fifth Street, Man reportedly tried to run over his daughter. Suspect advised.

Trouble – 1500 block of Charlotte Street Friday, male and female arguing, no charges or reports filed.

Suspicious activity – Area of Bartram’s three men around the soda machine. Officers spoke with men who had bought a drink. Nothing suspicious at that time.

Theft report – Thursday, male caller advised his laptop was stolen from car.

— Deborah Garred, 207 Second Street South Point, outstanding warrants, July 29 by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Melvin Slone, 39, of 4707 County Road 15 South Point, domestic violence, July 29 by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office

— Albert W. Jenkins, 18, 724 Lawrence Street Ironton, trafficking in drugs, July 29 by the Ironton Police Department.

— Amy M. Casey, 29, of 120 Private Drive 3486 in Kitts Hill, commitment July 29 by the Ironton Municipal Court

Sheriff’s Office

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle – 100 block of Township Road 209 in Ironton, male juvenile driving car without license, wrecked into telephone pole. Suspect cited with failing to control vehicle and driving with license

Domestic violence – 200 block of Township Road 1156 Chesapeake, man choked female, suspect left before officer arrived. Suspect asked to turn himself in. Investigation is pending.

Petty theft – Wal-Mart in South Point, man reportedly sole a 32” flat screen television. Suspect cited into court for theft.

Domestic Violence – 900 block of Township Road 98 South Point, woman reportedly tried to shoot man, officer found no gun, suspect arrested and taken to county jail.

Domestic violence – 4000 Block of County Road 15, man and woman fighting. Man arrested and taken to Lawrence County Jail.

Petty theft – Speedway in Proctorville – man reportedly stole candy bars from store. Suspect placed under arrest for theft and outstanding warrants. Taken to Lawrence County Jail.
