ODOT needs to keep U.S. 52 cut, looking good

I liked the article “Civic groups making big impact locally” and very much appreciate the energy and dedication of these people to improve our area. I did not want to distract on it by a negative comment.

I have always felt that first impressions count when visitors come to our area for the first time.

I was heading out of the area Friday and all I could see was the unkempt sight of the grass needing cut along U.S. 52.

This is not the first time I have observed this and probably not the last.

These volunteers doing community work to better our area need to be supported a little by the highway department.

If our state government can spend who knows how much on sound barrier walls on the interstate highways in Columbus, which probably is worthwhile also, surely they can direct someone in our area to keep the grass cut along U.S. 52.
