Drug possession, petty theft, evidence tampering — Walmart, South Point Wednesday, woman allegedly tried to pay for $472 worth of merchandise with check that was denied. Woman, son and another woman were interviewed by sheriff’s deputies. Breann Burgess, 20, of St. Albans, W.Va., was arrested for tampering with evidence, possession of drugs Schedule III and IV and illegal use of drug paraphernalia. Jeremy Pinkerman, 23, of Huntington, W.Va., was arrested for passing a bad check and possession of drugs Schedule I, II, III, IV. Kathleen Pinkerman, 45, of Ashland, Ky., was arrested for possession of crack and petty theft.

Dog Complaint — 1500 block of South Fourth Street, Wednesday, neighbor reports dog needs food. Two animals taken to pound.

Trouble — 1800 block of South Third Street, Wednesday, man reports he brought a woman home from bar. Woman asks to take shower, then reports she hears things. Woman allegedly hits man in face, then goes down Third Street. Man asks police to advise woman he doesn’t want her back in house.

Reckless Driving – Ironton High School, Wednesday, man reports two cars doing donuts in parking lot. Man and woman arguing. Police advise.

Attempted Breaking and Entering – 1600 block of South Fourth Street, homeowner reports garage door kicked in and damaged. No report.

Suspicious People — 300 block of Pine Street, Wednesday, people standing in front of house for 30 minutes. Homeowner wants officer to check. People live in neighborhood and advised to be quiet.
