ATHENS, Ga. — Our beloved daughter, April Hali went to be with the Lord on Aug. 6, 2010. She was taken to her heavenly home before we were ready to let her go.
Born and raised in Athens, Ga., she was the daughter of Doug and Bonnie Bachtel. April loved the Georgia Bulldogs, was passionate about skiing with her mother in the Colorado Rockies and visiting the ocean with her dad and mom. April was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Athens.
Along with her parents, April is survived by her brother, Travis Truchowesk, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was the granddaughter of the late Gene and Bonnie Unger of Ironton and the late Charles and Maryann Bachtel of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Private services were held on Tuesday, August 10 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Center.
