GERALD BRAMMER

IRONTON — Mr. Gerald F. Brammer. 76, of Ironton, Ohio died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Jo-Lin Health Center. He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Leatherwood, Ohio the son of the late Averill (Punch) and Geraldine Waller Brammer. Gerald graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School with the Class of 1952. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was employed at Wilson Sporting Goods and operated Brammer’s Tire Center on S. Third Street. He was a member of Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one sister, Mrs. Paul (Wilma) Sites and a granddaughter, Whitney Nicole Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Friend Brammer, whom he married on July 20, 1956; two daughters, Kim (Darrell) McFann and Tammy (PJ) Johnson both of Ironton, one son, Jerry Brammer of Proctorville; and a grandson, Corey Belville of Ironton; two sisters, Mrs. Jean (Homer) Hankins of Gallipolis, Ohio and Emily (Bob) Little of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, John (Blanche) Brammer of Fairborn, Ohio, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Pastor Brent Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday.
