SOUTH POINT — Patty J. Nichols, 73, of South Point, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Feb. 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Earl and Kate Kelly Waddle. She is survived by her husband, John Nichols, whom she married May 15, 2002.
Mrs. Nichols attended Forestdale School and was a former assembler with Rollyson’s for 10 years. She attended Sheridan Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Hall and Peggy Mullins; and a brother, Charles Waddle.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Woody Christian of Ironton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Henrietta and Frank Gannon of Hanging Rock, Betty and Roy Mullins, and Genieve Maddy of Ironton; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
