Term limits won’t fix problems in Washington

It is a indisputable fact that 85 percent or more of all illegal drugs coming into this country come across the Mexican border.

It is a indisputable fact that 99 percent or more of all illegal aliens coming into this country come across the Mexican border.

The burden that these two things alone are putting on the American taxpayer is bankrupting this nation.

Except for a token few miles of fence, not one presidential administration in my recollection has done anything to shut the border down. Not one, beginning with Kennedy.

Truman did deport 2 million and Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexican nationals in Operation Wetback so WWII and Korea veterans could find work. It took two years but they deported them.

We have enough troops on active duty to close the border down completely and yet “political correctness” will not let us use them.

The money saved by our welfare system would pay for all the troops and the money saved by our criminal justice system would go a long way toward paying for all the wasteful political pork and perks that Congress burdens us with.

It’s time that the voters of this country take matters in their own hands and vote out the incumbent liberal Republican and Democrats who stand by and follow the party lines.

Just check their voting record.

Vote them out twice. Vote them out in 2010 and 2012. Then maybe we will have a Congress that listens to its constituents and not to the big city bosses.

But do not vote for term limits. If we have term limits all seniority will vanish and all the congressional committee chairmanships will be in “big city” (population centers) hands.

Just look what that did to Ohio.
