PEDRO — George E. Jenkins, 76, of Pedro, Ohio passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at home. He was born May 14, 1934 in Huntington, W. Va., to the late George A. and Corbie Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph E. Jenkins; one granddaughter, Shannon Dishman; one sister, Mary Murnahan and one brother, Charles Jenkins. He is survived by five daughters, Faye Bays of South Point, Debora Casey of Milton, W.Va., Karen (Donald) Pennington of Huntington, W.Va., Phillippa McComas of Chesapeake and Carmen (Bob) Bowles of Coal Grove; one son, George E. Jenkins Jr. of Proctorville; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Hilgenberg of Ironton and Virginia (Ray) Burcham of Scottown; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Frances Saddler. He retired from Dayton Malleable. He also retired from River Valley Health Systems. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville by Pastor Jeff Cremeans and Rev. James Cremeans.
