ONA, W.Va. — Stephen Merle DePriest, 59, of Ona, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, in Columbus. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at New Life Church by Dr. Darrell Huffman. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Ironton, a son of the late Elza and Reba M. Triplett DePriest. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Holley DePriest; one daughter, Stacy Lynn Frederick, of Waverly; one son, William Scott DePriest, of Proctorville; stepdaughter, Catrina Collins of Ona; stepson, Curtis Collins of Ona; two sisters, Sue Deeds of Westerville and Janice Burchett of Rush, Ky.; two brothers, Thomas DePriest of Oil City, Pa. and William DePriest of Ashland, Ky.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 12 Friday at the church.
