Edzel Eugene Hogston, 76, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, in Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. The Belcher, Ky. native was born Oct. 19, 1933, the son of the late Campbell and Alpha Collins Hogston.
Mr. Hogston was a former truck driver for Global Van Lines and was a member of the Lorain Street Mission Chapel.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Hogston; and a sister, Tilda Murphy.
He is survived by a son, John R. Hogston of Pennsylvania; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and John Warner of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Brian Lee of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter and her companion, Theresa Romans and Paul Reffitt of Ironton; 13 grandchildren ; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery.
