HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Ray Dotson “Butch” Robinson, 66, of Huntington, died Sunday Sept. 12, 2010, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastors Tom Jeffrey and Paul Holton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Butch was born March 28, 1944, in Williamsburg, W.Va., a son of the late R. Dotson and Mary Lou Maxey Robinson. He retired from Special Metals in 2002, from the maintenance department at Burnaugh, Ky. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church and served on the Board of Directors of Trivantage Credit Union. He attended Marshall and DeVry of Chicago. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul E. Robinson and his stepmother, Helen Robinson. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Donna Sears Robinson whom he married on Aug. 13, 1963; sons, Donnie Robinson and wife Connie, special grandsons, Nicholas Robinson and girlfriend Kelsey Willis, Brandon Robinson and girlfriend Amanda Adkins, all of Huntington and Robert Robinson and wife Amy of Proctorville; special grandchildren, Sydney and Sam Robinson, all of Proctorville; his sister, Jane Lawless and husband Tom of Ironton; and a host of special friends and neighbors.
