PINE GROVE — Conference preview?

In a match involving four of the six Ohio Valley Conference teams, the South Point Pointers turned in a solid performance as they won the quad match Monday at the Ironton Country Club.

South Point posted a 194-team score with Wyatt Hall taking medalist honors with a 44 to lead the Pointers.

Fairland finished second as the Dragons had a 205 total. The Coal Grove Hornets and Chesapeake Panthers “B” team each finished with a 217 total.

Rock Hill and River Valley are the other two league members.

Callie Taylor fired the second best score of the day as she backed Hall with a 47. Josh Suttles finished with a 49, Caleb Jones shot a 54, Sean Gambill had a 62 and Austin Wellman carded a 65.

Tyler Blake shot a 49 to lead the Dragons. Daily Manns was next with a 51, Blain Fuller registered a 52, Alex Earl had a 53, Evan Salyers was one shot back at 54 and Josh Goodman finished with a 56.

Coner Markins led Coal Grove with a 48 and Cody Davidson shot a 49. Jon Bollinger was next with a 59, Cameron Rowe had a 61 and Justin Mullins shot a roundof 64.

Eric Sias led the Panthers with a 49, Josh Blair had a 54, Jared Browning and Taylor Price each had a 57, Joey Galloway finished with a 61 and Alex Barker had a 63.
