Ironton superintendent went extra mile for safety

Unity in social activities will always create a much safer environment for everyone. This kind of unity starts with good communication and ends with good cooperation.

Those words define the actions of Dean Nance, superintendent of Ironton City Schools after safety procedures were put into place during a threat on children’s safety in Ironton city schools.

After discussing with concerned parents and grandparents the actions taken by the schools during the threat crisis, he deemed it necessary to place needed communication with everyone involved into effect, asking for a unified school administration, teacher, parent, grandparent, and children school system that will carry over into several necessary instances.

Thank you, Mr. Nance, from concerned parents and grandparents. You lessened our fears concerning the safety of our children. We need outstanding, caring individuals in our society who are willing to go that extra mile.

In this case, Mr. Nance, you certainly did.

On behalf of myself and my husband, David, thanks again.
