PINE GROVE — It only takes one.

The Coal Grove Hornets’ golf team picked up a win over the Chesapeake Panthers by one-shot Monday in a match at the Ironton Country Club.

Coal Grove posted a 211 score as Conor Markins took medalist honors by posting a round of 44.

The Hornets’ Cody Davidson was three strokes back at 47 while Cameron Rowe had a 59, Jonathan Bollinger 61 and Justin Mullens 62.

Chesapeake was led by Eric Sias with a 47 and Charlie Blair at 52. Taylor Price shot a 55, Jarred Browning 58, Caleb Heffner 64 and Alek Barker 65.
