IRONTON – Robert L. Cooley, 61, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010, at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Lewis County, Kentucky native was born August 25, 1949, the son of the late Theodore and Ethel Standard Cooley. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cuffman Cooley.

Mr. Cooley attended Wynford High School in Bucyrus, Ohio, and was a former tree trimmer with several different tree services. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Sue Cooley, Mildred Ann Cooley and Trisha Lynn Cooley.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Ellen and Mike Huber of Wataga, TN; daughter and son-in-law: Glenda and David House of Knoxville, TN; daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Flynn Gonyeau of Hazel Park, MI; son: Bobby Cooley of Watauga, TN; daughter and son-in-law: Diana and Carl Burks of Memphis, TN; daughter: Tammie Adams of Denver, CO; son: Mike Reidling of Clarksville, IN; son: Rob Reidling of Ironton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Jim and Jerri Cooley of Clinton, AK, George and Sherrie Cooley of Vanceburg, Ky., and Ed Cooley of Bucyrus, Ohio; five sisters and sons-in-law: Betty and Mike Lagace of Newark, Ohio, Donna and Shawn Fultz of Morehead, Ky., Carol and John Huff of Vanceburg, Ky., Debbie and Garry Baker of Vanceburg, Ky. and Jennifier and Donnie Stevenson of Vanceburg, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, Ohio, with Rev. Joe Miller and Rev. Jeff Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery, Vanceburg, Ky., and calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made in honor of Robert Cooley to Phillips Funeral Home.
