CHARLOTTE, N.C.— Suzanne Dellinger, 66, of Charlotte NC passed away Sept. 23, 2010 at her home. A native of Coal Grove, Suzanne was born Nov. 27, 1943 to Clarice Ethel Nance and the late Carl Emerson Willis. She attended Dawson Bryant High School where she was head majorette and graduated in 1962.

In addition to her father Suzanne was preceded in death by her brothers Roger Jay Willis and Carl David Willis.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Walton Gene Dellinger II, son William Joseph Dilley, daughter Elysia Dilley McKinney, son-in-law Paul McKinney, grandsons Tyler and Jarret Morris, and her mother Clarice Nance, all of Charlotte, stepdaughter Brandy Auton of Granite Falls, NC, brother and sister-in-law Tim and Patty Dellinger, niece Brittany Dellinger of Crouse, NC, mother-in-law Vicki Sigmon of Carolina Beach, NC.

Suzanne retired from Kennametal as North American Customer Service Mgr in 2009 and was enjoying her retirement by remodeling her home and fulfilled her dream of installing a pool to entertain family and friends.

A breast cancer survivor since 1999 she lost a brief yet brave battle with lung and brain cancer.
