Karen Lynn Mains Harrison

Karen Lynn Mains Harrison, 56, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Sept. 5, 1954, the daughter of Mary Sue Curnutte Mains and the late Daniel R. Mains. She is also survived by her husband, William David Harrison, whom she married Aug. 16, 1971.

Mrs. Mains was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was a LPN for King’s Daughters Medical Center for 23 years and of the Catholic/Christian faith.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Mains Blalock.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Amy Jo and Don Battise of Ironton; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lou and Pam Mains, Tim and Rae Ann Mains, John Mains of Chesapeake and Danny Mains, all of Ironton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Nathan Lewis of South Point and Katherine and David Lenox of Orlando, Fla.; and beloved grandson, Derek Battise of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Chaffins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
