Another ‘Grape’ event set for the Paramount

ASHLAND, Ky. — Grape Expectations makes its return to the Paramount stage, Thursday, Nov. 4 at 6 PM.

Admission is $25 per person and includes 6 wine tastings and a variety of hors d’oeuvres. Dress is business casual.

Individual tickets can be purchased at the Paramount box office at 606.324.3175 prior to the event or at the door.

VIP hour is from 5 – 6 p.m. and sponsorship opportunities are still available by calling Dena Newsom at The Gallaher Group, 606.329.8383.

The event is sponsored by Bellefonte Country Club and Town Square Bank and all proceeds benefit Paramount Arts Center.

Foothills Art Festival coming to Jackson

JACKSON — More than 500 works of art are expected for the Southern Hills Arts Council’s 29th Annual Foothills Art Festival at Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp.

The festival will begin on Friday, Oct. 15 and run through Sunday, Oct. 17. Hours for Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday’s hours are noon to 5 p.m.

The art will be hung in the following categories: oil and acrylics, mixed media and prints, pastel and drawing, photography, enhanced photography, three dimensional, and water color.

Most of the artwork will be for sale. The participants range in experience from emerging to professional artists.

There will be live music by classical guitarist Sean Ferguson from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 16 and by The Brighton Trio from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 17.

Children are invited to try their hand at a variety of art projects on the mezzanine from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Jackson High School art teacher Bob Eisnaugle will be bringing his students to give children advice and inspiration. The children will be able to take their art projects home with them.

The festival is free and open to the public. Parking is also free and the Canter’s Cave Lodge is handicapped accessible. Concessions will be available.

The lodge is located off Route 35 about 5 miles northwest of Jackson.
