ROCK CAMP— Garnet Bazell, 86, of Rock Camp, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at her residence. The Coryville native was born Aug. 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Andrew and Verna Long Fradd. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Rev. Earl Bazell, whom she married Jan. 17, 1941.

Mrs. Bazell was a former employee for Dawson- Bryant School District and a member of the Rock Camp United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Estep; and two brothers, Forrest Fradd and Raymond Fradd.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Larry Bazell of Rock Camp; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Sam Newman of Rock Camp; one grandson, Rev. Dr. Deron S. Newman of Greenup, Ky.; and a special family friend, Charles Forbush of Willow Wood.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Max Donahue and Rev. Dr. Deron S. Newman officiating.
